All financial institutions in the euro zone will be required to be compliant with the regulations laid down by the European Central Bank regarding the recycling of banknotes.
The essence of the Banknote Recycling Framework is to gaurantee the quality and the integrity of all euro notes distributed by the financial institutions.
Irish cash handling institutions have been requested to be compliant by the end of 2010.
