Counterfeit Banknote Alert: Derry, Northern Ireland

Derry's City Centre Initiative have today issued a warning about fake £20 notes circulating in the North West.

A spokesperson said:  "We have been asked by the PSNI to advise all traders that there has been an increase in reports of counterfeit cash being received by local businesses, in particular counterfeit Bank of Ireland £20 notes.


"Look out for serial No: CE027320. Please check all notes at the point of sale and if you need advice on your current procedures please ring '101' and ask to speak to your local Crime Prevention Officer."
