The Real Value of Change

There are so many self help books out there advising people on how best to handle change and to deal with the unknown, that it’s no wonder so many people see change as a negative, something to be wary of or even feared.

Change (not the money kind) can be unsettling for people so a less than positive reaction to it is completely understandable. As human beings, a lot of us tend towards the ‘if it’s not broken, don’t fix it’ mindset. Unfortunately, as much as this mindset might protect you from unnecessary forays down ultimately unrewarding paths, it also prevents you seeing the potential benefits that change can bring.

Over the years we’ve worked with a lot of businesses that knew they needed to change something within their cash handling process but weren’t sure where to start. In a lot of cases, the decision maker was reluctant to properly examine their entire cash handling process for fear of spiraling costs, upsetting staff with what they might perceive as unnecessary process changes or a new process simply not working out.

While these concerns are valid, the fact is that regularly examining how cash is dealt with in your business is absolutely invaluable in both the short and long term and we are in a unique position to be able to advise you on exactly how to do it.

We have over 27 years of experience in helping businesses across a range of sectors to evaluate their cash handling processes, with the objective of identifying and eliminating unnecessary risk and duplication of work and essentially reduce costs. We will always recommend a way forward, which suits your individual budget, preferences, and the resources you have available.

The Money Point concept is to provide and install solutions that are easy to operate, keeping technical requirements to a minimum and productivity to a maximum.

Our goal is to increase our customers' business productivity and security and hence profitability, by helping them to realise the maximum benefit from their personnel and our cash management equipment and processes.

What We Do

  • We challenge existing protocol. What are your pain points? What’s the ideal? Is there a business case or a tangible return on investment?
  • We communicate and collaborate. We talk to everyone that touches the cash. A different perspective is always helpful. There may be elements of your current process worrying other staff members that you weren’t aware of.
  • We create a new process on paper first. Does it flow properly? Will it work? How can it be tested? What equipment is needed?

Our case studies speak for themselves:

Happy Money Point Customer

WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE CM18. AFTER JUST 6 WEEKS OF USING IT, THE TIME SPENT HANDLING CASH HAS BEEN REDUCED BY 85% AT THE START OF THE DAY AND 55% AT THE END OF THE DAY.THESE TIMESAVINGS ARE MAINLY DUE TO THE FACT THAT WITH THE CM18, THE TELLERS HAVE BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT WHEN PERFORMING MOST CASH HANDLING TASKS.

David, Credit Union Manager

THE CCI HAS PROVED TO BE A VERY SOLID AND TROUBLE FREE SOLUTION. IT’S EXTREMELY ROBUST, RELIABLE AND FAST AND IT HASN’T SLOWED DOWN THE CHECKOUT PROCESS IN ANY WAY. IF ANYTHING IT HAS ACTUALLY SPEEDED IT UP! HAVING A FOB ASSIGNED TO EACH CASHIER AND BEING ABLE TO SEE THE CASH POSITION LIVE FROM THE BACK OFFICE IS A BIG BONUS.

John, Grocery Store Owner

John will see a return on his investment in less than 2 years. To date, he has been able to save 12 hours in his cash office each week, moving from a six full days day to three full and two half days each week.

Cash handling procedures are more streamlined right across the business and John says they now have some of the most efficient cash office processes he has come across in any retail environment that he has worked in!

WE NEEDED MACHINES THAT WOULD ENSURE OUR COMPLIANCE WITH THE BANKNOTE RECIRCULATION FRAMEWORK. IT IS AN ECB REQUIREMENT THAT ALL CASH RECYCLED THROUGH AN ATM IS VERIFIED & AUTHENTICATED BY ECB TESTED MACHINES. MONEY POINT WAS ABLE TO DELIVER AND SUPPORT THOSE PRODUCTS.

Conor, Supermarket Manager

Steve’s internal cash handling processes were already streamlined and strong. He just needed a way to save time on the counting and re-counting. As Head of Finance, he also needed a solution that would give them a fast return on investment.

SINCE PURCHASING THE JULONG 206V WE COULD INSTANTLY SEE HUGE TIME SAVINGS. MONEY POINT PROVIDED US WITH EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, OUR RETURN OF INVESTMENT WAS LESS THAN 20 WEEKS!
