For this company, keeping costs to a minimum was a necessity. They wanted to find a cash counting solution for each of their stores at a cost effective price. Their first solutions were second-hand cash counting machines. Before long their machines began giving problems. Orla knew it was time to find the best solution for each store.

The Problem

Orla's role was to achieve the same as most companies, to increase sales and limit costs. This meant there wasn’t much left in the budget for new cash counting machines. Orla’s stores deal in small change and notes which take up a lot of counting time for her staff. She purchased low cost, reconditioned machines to streamline their end of the day counting. As a result, maintenance fees began creeping up, especially when she had one in all 13 of their stores.
